Representatives from the Washington County Water Conservancy District responded earlier today to a pipeline collapse in the district’s main line located near the La Verkin Hot Springs. The cause for the collapse is still under investigation but initial indicators lead to a frozen air valve that deregulated pressure. Approximately 120 feet of 72-inch steel pipeline will need to be replaced.
